A postnuptial contract is not a simple form – it requires a formal High Court application.
| Antenuptial Contract | Postnuptial Contract |
|---|---|
| Signed before marriage | Signed after marriage |
| Simple notarial process | High Court application required |
| No creditor involvement | All creditors must be notified |
| No court appearance | Advocate appears in court |
| R1,950 | R20,000 |
The difference in cost reflects the legal complexity. The High Court must approve the change to protect creditors who have rights against your joint estate.
These additional costs are uncommon and will be discussed with you upfront if applicable.
We offer flexible payment options to make the process more accessible.
Option 1: Two Payments
Option 2: Extended Payment Plan
Payment must be received in full before we file your application. No application will be submitted with an outstanding balance.
Payment methods: EFT, credit card

| Creditor notifications & advertisements | 2-3 weeks (Simultaneous) |
